Have you ever drunk Almdudler, the famous herbal, carbonated soft drink from Austria that is part of every Austrian’s childhood?
It all started with a lovely wedding story: Erwin Klein combined 32 natural herbs, beet sugar and soda water. Do you know what the elusive ingredient was? It was love! The perfect present for Ingrid was created in 1957. And this was the romantic start of one of the best drinks we have in Austria!
Obviously, this background story makes it easier to sell the product, as I recently found out. All the Almdudler advertisements are designed in such a way that the audience is touched emotionally. Have you ever seen an advert for Almdudler? There is one where cows on top of a mountain want to drink something but because there is no Almdudler, they walk away. This is pretty funny and for that reason stays in your mind. So does the latest commercial, in fact: a man puts an engagement ring in a glass of sparkling wine and the loved person storms away because there is no Almdudler.
Should you not know the drink Almdudler or if you have not seen any of the commercials promoting it, then grab a bottle of this drink. You won’t regret it! And watch the clips: you won’t be able to stop laughing!
