Ingredients for 12 servings:
1 tablespoon honey
250 g rye flour
150 g sugar
1 tablespoon gingerbread spice
2 tablespoons butter
2 eggs
Preparation:
For the gingerbread cookies, preheat the oven to 175°C and line the baking tray with baking paper. Heat the honey in a pot.
Next, sift the flour into a large bowl. Make a well in the middle and then pour the hot honey into it. Using a hand mixer with a dough hook and mix the flour with the honey well.
Then add the sugar, baking soda, gingerbread spice, butter and egg and knead the mixture until the dough is smooth and supple.
After that roll out the dough on a lightly floured work surface (approx. 0.5cm) and cut out cookies.
Finally, place the cookies on the baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes.
